Downfall of Agile Hitler

May 18, 2009 by Artem Marchenko

Several days ago during the over-the-beer-discussion after the latest Business Value Game workshop (it was a huge success and I am still looking for an assistant to help with it on XP2009) told me about this YouTube video (sorry, I don’t remember who exactly it was). It is humorously subtitled piece of movie about the last days of Hitler. With these subtitles Hitler seems to be extremely.. disappointed of how his team failed to follow the agile principles. As one of the commenters said “i can say this is so close to the truth it's scary!”. Have a look

Okay, that's pretty good, but I really, really don't think you want HITLER being the hero, here. I mean, it would have been much better if HITLER was the one who was breaking the system rather than being the HERO you all want to emulate.

So, A for effort, but a solid F for presentation...

Neither this video, nor this

Neither this video, nor this post promotes the nazi ideas. It is just so that the actor's play (of emotions) is great. Any similar video of disappointment in the team would do. Unfortunately sometimes situation on new agile teams indeed looks just as in this video.

I don't think Hitler is portraying the hero...more like he is the corporate a-hole boss that everyone hates.
