I used to to fly a paraglider. A great sport (which I started with the awesome Tamkik club in Tampere), but time goes. Family and moving between cities and workplaces - over the last 7 years or so I haven’t done a single flight, so it’s time to admit it and sell stuff to somebody who needs it more.
What’s on Sale
- Gin Zulu M wing (85-105kg), flown under 47 hours (27 hours by me and a bit less than 20 hrs by the previous owner)
- Gin Genie XO harness
- Gin 42 one G reserve
- Gin helmet 58cm (feels a little smaller in fact)
- AVPilot Bräuniger Variometer
- Charly Insider helmet 58cm
- I have microphone and speakerphone attached to it, so you can plug to your PMR
- Charly express bag (pikapakkauspussi)
- Launch system with a knife bundled in + rings for the other kind of launch system
- A Cobra PMs with broken clip (so it needs to be in the pocket) and removed call button (on purpose, so it doesn’t ring by accident)
- Safe line cutting knife attached to harness
All is in good condition and first four items were purchased from Juha back in 2011 for 1500 eur and was used very little since then (for 27 hours of flight time).
I only sell it as a single bunch. Everything is available in Helsinki, Hakaniemi metro station or I can send it via posti or matkahuolto at the buyers cost. If you buy exactly everything it is likely to cost some 50-80 euros.
Details on condition
1. Gin Zulu wing
It is not new, but was kept very well and is in very good condition except that outer cover of one of the back lines started going off. It is well flyable in the current form, but in general you will want the line be replaced. I have the proper replacement line purchased already and include it (see photo), replacement would take make 20-30 minutes.
It is probably as good as it gets for your first real wing. It is sturdy enough not to get easily broken, yet light enough glides very well and most important [for me] - easy to control.
WingPub lists this model with 40+ hours of usage starting from some 500-600 eur
2. Gin Genie XO harness
You can see that it’s used - there are some scuffs, but it’s in good condition. It’s rucksack is not looking very well. Zippers are good, material is mostly good, but plastic clips are mostly broken. It does the job, but without plastic clips isn’t compressed as well as it should.
It is comfortable, has lots of very useful pockets. I used it when my naked weight was 72kg and it was fine, but a bit too big. Probably will fit best for a bit heavier pilot.

3. Gin 42 one G reserve
It’s like new. It was never used. I repacked it once or twice under guidance of the instructors.
4. Gin helmet 58cm (feels a little smaller in fact)
Exact model I don’t know, but you can see it’s Gin. In very good conditions. It happened to be a little small to me, so not sure if I used it even once. Previous owner was probably using it under 20 hrs of flight time as well.
5. AVPilot Bräuniger Variometer
Some plastic crack is covered with sturdy duck tape as you see. Works very well, never had a single complaint about it.
6. Charly Insider helmet
Consition is good, but you can see it was a bit used - see the biggest scratch in photo. It never had any serious or even not serious impact with anything.
I have attached to it speakerphone that motorcyclists normally used. You plug it in your PMR radio and then can talk nicely in the helmet. It can be easily removed if you don’t like it for some reason.
New one costs about 200 eur
7. Charly express bag (pikapakkauspussi)
Almost like new. Used very little. It’s very convenient when you land somewhere far from the launch place. You can take this bag to flight, on landing put everything to it and wear it almost as normal backpack. Size is just good for this size
8. Launch system with a knife bundled in + rings for the other kind of launch system
Well, it works. It’s a bit heavy, but nothing to break there.
A Cobra PMs with broken clip (so it needs to be in the pocket) and removed call button (on purpose, so it doesn’t ring by accident) Works on batteries (or rechargeable batteries). I actually have a second PMR as well (and will give it to you), but the second one has microphone broken - only works with externa microphone.
Safe line cutting knife attached to harness Like new. Used maybe a couple of times for cutting random line pieces. Very good thing to have attached to your harness just in case.
